Marketing for your Wedding Business in 4 Ways

4 Ways of Marketing Your Wedding Business

If you’re in any kind of business, marketing has to be a thing. Marketing for your wedding business is something that needs to be done so you can do business, right? Now, I know the best type of marketing in the wedding industry is word of mouth recommendation, and seriously, it is awesome when you get a referral from a past client. The truth is though, it’s not something that can be relied upon day to day.

Marketing includes all the activities you do to promote your products or services. Advertising is one of the components of marketing, but there are many more. (Source: https://smallbusiness.chron.com/difference-between-marketing-advertising-25047.html)

Let’s discuss some digital marketing. I know that term is daunting when you just come out with it like that. If you break it down though, it gets easier and somehow, not as monstrous as it seems. Here are some types of digital marketing that work very well for wedding businesses.

4 Ways of Marketing Your Wedding Business

social media marketing

We all have social media accounts, well, most of us do! Having business pages on these accounts can be beneficial too! They can be a great way to get quick, easy content out there to your audience. Social media is a great way of making and nurturing relationships with your audience and customers too. It’s safe to assume that most, if not all your wedding clientele are on Facebook or Instagram at least. I say these two because they are visual and easy to use and to scroll through. Anyone in the wedding industry can easily market their business on these platforms.

blogging

Another quick and easy way to reach your clients and potential ones. Blogging is also a fantastic way to inform and educate. Doing this can cement your relationship with your current clients even more, all the while bringing fresh new eyes to your website. People want to know things! Engaged couples are looking for tips and tricks for their wedding day and you have that information! Want to know a secret? You’re on a blog right now!

email marketing

When done correctly, email marketing can be a total game changer for your wedding business! Like blogging, it can be used to inform and educate, but over a longer period. Building relationships with your clients over email marketing can be great. It’s a fantastic way to nurture those relationships with the likelihood of bringing in more return. Maybe you have an email list of couples who have just got engaged and you have a fantastic service you can offer for their wedding. Build that relationship over email marketing and let them know in creative ways why they need YOUR wedding service!

video marketing

Like it or not, it’s all going video nowadays. People want information and they want it like, yesterday! 85% of businesses use video as a marketing tool. This kind of marketing may be great for wedding planners and photographers; behind the scenes snippets, ceremony set ups and montages are great for interesting and engaging content! Hi Angie,
I saw your post on the Affluent Feminine Entrepreneur and thought it wouldn’t hurt to reach out.
Quick intro about myself…I’m former web dev now specializing in review and reputation management. I help local in-person service or retail businesses increase their ranking on Google with our proprietary platform.
I’m looking at partnering with a few marketing pros and web developers this year for some cross-promotion opportunities and I thought it looked like our businesses may be pretty well aligned.
My clients are motivated to get their business marketing working for them. They often want me to do SEO, marketing plans, etc and that’s just not my thing. I thought we might have the potential to cross-refer some great clients with each other.

I think there’s some potential for us to do some great work together and refer sane clients to each other. I love those! Also, I pay out a residual for clients that are referred to me.

Would you be open to a call to explore?
    Have a great day,
    Karen
